Weather Impact is a Dutch company specialized in weather and climate services. We operate worldwide and provide advice and operational services to the agricultural and business sectors. Our innovative tools allow users to assess weather and climate impacts and make effective decisions to reduce risks. We are experts in data management, analytics and algorithms. We also provide training to support local partners in the sustainable continuation of the service. We actively work with NGOs, government organizations and research institutes to support climate adaptation.
Who are we looking for?
Do you want to contribute to sustainable solutions in the field of weather and climate, and work on impactful projects? We are looking for a consultant with proven experience in IT and programming.
An enthusiastic colleague with the following qualifications:
- An MSc degree in meteorology, climate science, physics or related science
- Proven experience in coding and scripting (Python)
- You enjoy taking on technical challenges in the domain of meteorology and IT
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Fluency in an additional global language is a plus
- Living in the Netherlands
- Structured approach to problem solving
Your activities
You will be working on national and international projects, where traveling abroad may be part of the role. We provide accurate localized weather forecasts and agricultural advice, and it is your responsibility to ensure that the high quality of our operational services is maintained. Additionally, you are proactive in the further development of our weather services with smart ICT solutions. Together with partners, clients, and colleagues, you enjoy brainstorming, advising, and discussing climate challenges. You know how to apply your expertise in such a way that we can deliver customized products tailored to the users needs.
